Faculty Grants

The OVM at Hellenic College announces its Faculty Vocation Grants for academic year 2011–2012. Proposals should contribute to or demonstrate direct impact in one or both of the following areas: (a) Make a scholarly contribution to the Orthodox Christian theological exploration of vocation and ministry and/or the nascent topic of Orthodoxy and higher education, (b) Demonstrate a direct impact on students through the campus chapter of Orthodox Christian Fellowship, the mentoring of students regarding faith and vocation, and/or coursework. Orthodox Christian faculty with a terminal degree in their chosen fields (PhD, ThD) may be eligible for awards up to $4000 in grant funding if full-time and up to $2000 if part-time or adjunct. Grants of up to $4,000

The OVM accepts grant proposals in response to its Request for Proposals from both Hellenic College faculty (who have benefitted from this opportunity since 2003) and from Orthodox Christian faculty from across the nation. For more information, see the Requests for Proposals. The OVM funds two to three such grants per academic year.

 

Hellenic College Mini-Grants of up to $500

Hellenic College faculty are eligible for Faculty Vocation Mini-Grants (FVMG), which allow faculty to apply for up to $500 per semester to add a vocation-related project, event, or material to a course. The OVM funds two mini-grants per semester.
