Saint Photios the Great Faith and Learning Symposium: Faith & Psychology

The Office of Vocation & Ministry (OVM) at Hellenic College is hosting the Seventh Annual Saint Photios the Great Faith and Learning Symposium on Saturday February 25, 2012. Each year the OVM sponsors a day-long event to address topics at the intersection of Orthodox Christianity and higher education.

This year we will address themes related to faith and psychology. We will gather together to answer burning questions such as: How do we faithfully learn in a field such as psychology? How do we navigate the various and often opposing viewpoints of Orthodoxy and the psychological sciences? What can this discussion tell us about the way in which we should approach learning in other fields which we study?

Our speakers this years will be scholars and practitioners who stand at the forefront of the conversation between Orthodoxy and psychology. They will offer their account of the ways in which they have navigated this important topic.
