Hellenic College Holy Cross is pleased to announce the eleventh year of its acclaimed intensive Modern Greek language program. The Kallinikeion Institute at HCHC offers a full-immersion, intensive language program in Modern Greek to Greek Orthodox seminarians and future parish leaders.
Now in its eleventh year, the Kallinikeion Institute has become synonymous with quality instruction of Modern Greek both at Hellenic College Holy Cross in particular and the academic community in general. With two hundred and sixty nine graduates and 1,846 hours of instruction, the Kallinikeion Institute has undertaken the responsibility of educating HCHC students to be ambassadors of Hellenic language and culture nationwide. Many Kallinikeion graduates are serving in parishes across the U.S.
The 20th Annual Nicholas J. Bouras Golf tournament to benefit Hellenic College Holy Cross took place on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Kernwood Country Club in Salem, Massachusetts.
Dr. James C. Alex, a member of the Board of Trustees of Hellenic College Holy Cross, recently died tragically. He was a Trustee for over fourteen years and a member of the Executive Committee and chair of the Institutional Advancement Committee.
He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and godfather. A devout Orthodox Christian, he was an accomplished physician and an eminent facial reconstructive surgeon. He was a native of Boston who was a graduate of Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Medical School.
Dr. Alex opened the Weston Center for Cosmetic Surgery, his own practice in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, in 2006, following almost twenty years of top-flight accomplishments in research, medical education and surgical practice.

Catherine Varkas, Director of the nationally accredited Palm Harbor Montessori Teacher Education Center, will offer a two week immersion course in teacher training exploring the religious nature and vital needs of the 3 to 6 year old child. The program will take place at Hellenic College Holy Cross in Brookline, Massachusetts, from June 18th-June 29th, 2012 from 9:00AM - 5:00PM.
