Dr. Marian Simion Appointed Honorary Adviser to the Romanian Parliament

On July 1, 2015, Dr. Marian Gh. Simion was appointed Honorary Adviser to Senator Ben-Oni Ardelean, Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Romanian Senate, and his cabinet at the Romanian Parliament in Bucharest, Romania.


Pappas Patristic Institute Hosts Summer Patristic Studies Program

Fr. Eugen J. Pentiuc, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages, was invited by École biblique et archéologique française to spend six weeks in Jerusalem (July-August, 2015) to complete his work for the B.E.S.T. (acronym for La Bible en ses traditions / The Bible in Its Traditions).

Thomas FitzGerald, Professor of Church History and Historical Theology, was a guest speaker on June 16, 2015 at the conference “Remembering the Reformation Together,” sponsored by the Center for Catholic and Evangelical Theology, and the School of Theology and Religious Studies of The Catholic University in Washington, DC, where the meeting was held.


V. Rev. Dr. Joachim Cotsonis Contributes to Dumbarton Oaks Online Byzantine Seal Database

Very Rev. Dr. Joachim Cotsonis was invited to spend ten days, July 5-16, at Dumbarton Oaks, Harvard Center for Byzantine Studies, Washington, DC, in order to contribute to the ongoing work of the Dumbarton Oaks’ online Byzantine lead-seal database.


HCHC Golf Tournament Festive and Successful

On Monday, July 20, 2015, more than 100 golfers enjoyed a day of golf, fellowship and food on a warm and beautiful day at the scenic seaside Kernwood Country Club in Salem, MA, while raising more than $75,000 for Hellenic College Holy Cross.

Kallinikeion Institute Intensive Modern Greek Language Program Enters 14th Year

The Kallinikeion Institute at Hellenic College Holy Cross is an intensive Modern Greek language program sponsored by the Kallinikeion Foundation. The program offers two courses in Modern Greek, one at the Beginning (Beginning Modern Greek I) and one at the Intermediate level (Intermediate Modern Greek I&II).


CrossRoaders Explore "Vocation & Suffering"

Early Tuesday morning, the CrossRoad participants went into Cambridge to break bread with the homeless. In small groups, the CrossRoaders approached people, bought them breakfast, and sat and ate with them, learning about their lives and getting to know them.
