HCHC Students Attend Pan-Orthodox Young Adult Retreat in Syracuse, NY

Last weekend, fifteen Hellenic College students journeyed to Syracuse, NY, to participate in the Pan-Orthodox Young Adult Retreat, sponsored by Holy Transfiguration Bulgarian Orthodox Church and St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church.


Fr. Eugen Pentiuc Speaks at Orthodox Spirituality Conference in Bose, Italy

Fr. Eugen J. Pentiuc, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages at HCHC, was invited by the organizers of Bose Conference to give a talk on forgiveness in the Old Testament. His paper was entitled “Forgiveness in the Old Testament: Joseph and His Brothers.”


Rev. Dr. George Dragas Participates in Two International Ecumenical Dialogues

Rev. Dr. George Dragas, Professor of Patristics at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, recently participated in the sixteenth plenary meeting of the Lutheran-Orthodox Joint Commission on Ministry/Priesthood, which met in Rhodes, Greece.


HCHC Alum Appointed to the Fr. John Meyendorff & Patterson Family Chair of Orthodox Christian Studies

HCHC alum Professor George E. Demacopoulos has recently been appointed to the Fr. John Meyendorff & Patterson Family Chair of Orthodox Christian Studies at Fordham University and will be installed as the inaugural holder of the chair on Monday, October 5, 2015, at the Rose Hill Campus in New York.

The Missions Institute of Orthodox Christianity will present the conference "Speaking to Secular America: How the Church Is Reaching Out to the Non-Religious in Our Society" October 28-30, 2015, at Hellenic College Holy Cross. The conference is being held in conjunction with the inauguration of HCHC’s 21st President, the Reverend Christopher T. Metropulos, DMin.
