The Cantonis Chair of Byzantine Studies is sponsoring a lecture by Dr. Alexander Lingas, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Music, City University of London. Dr. Lingas is the founder and Artistic director of the vocal ensemble Cappella Romana and a Fellow of Oxford University's European Humanities Research Center.

 

The lecture is entitled "Cathedral and Monastic Psalmody in Late Byzantium: towards a final synthesis?"
